Smooth sided toads are quite large at around 15 to 17 cm long, and have a permanent expression of disappointment plastered on their face (which is still adorable). They secrete a yellow toxin from behind their eyes when agitated, which bears a striking resemblance to cheese, leading to it being dubbed “forbidden queso”.
